Good evening, fellow Republicans! It’s been some time since I last did one of these, a month in fact. With that said, I’ve finally developed the guts to write another one of these since I have many updates to share with the party, some being very important to our structure and others being minor things to know. These addresses will always be posted to the party’s website as well for everyone to view and for the sake of transparency. With that said, let me begin with the important things.

To start us off, you may be wondering what happened to the RNC that was planned but never actually occurred. To say this simply, I was too bogged down by school beginning on the day that we were supposed to delay the convention to. Since I arrive home from school pretty late in the day, it’s difficult for me to find time to help plan events, especially on school nights. It really is a shame that this had to happen, and I do especially apologize to our nominee (who already dropped out) and everybody else in the party for my inability to successfully make an event that celebrates our values as a party happen.

Now drifting towards the topic of our leadership members, we’ve lost two of them recently, former General Chief Advisor Maleek Diaz and former Vice Chairman Claudio Aleman. These two veteran MEC members have served our community for a long time for the purpose of making it better, and have made really big contributions to this party recently. Maleek has dedicated himself to the success of this party since he first joined the community in 2016 and has had countless successes leading this party into the right direction with his three Chairman tenures. Claudio on the other hand has served his constituents very well with his service in District 1, and was only in this party for less than two months, but even he cared deeply about our success with his contributions. From the leadership’s viewpoint, it’s really sad to see these two go, but life comes first, and we respect their decision to leave.

Now I want to bring up the topic of the leadership in general. With the departure of Maleek Diaz and Claudio Aleman from the leadership, Jon Ossoff and Stephen Bryant are now the acting Vice Chairman and Deputy Chairman respectively. Along with this, I’m also announcing another change to the composition of leadership positions. The Vice Deputy Chairperson position is being removed and replaced with another advisor position. Therefore the composition will be the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, and two RNC advisor positions, one advisor position being elected and the other being appointed by the Chairperson. Now when will the leadership candidacy signup sheet be released? Well that will be rolled out at 12 AM EDT as of the posting of this, so if you want to run for a position in the GOP leadership, this is your opportunity to do so. Just remember to register to vote so your vote in the elections will count.

You could be wondering right now what activity or plans are going on within the GOP leadership recently. Interestingly, the answer is not much. However, I have been working on thing and I think this is the perfect time to reveal that. The Republican National Committee rule book is a document I’ve been working on that essentially acts as a GOP Constitution. It lays out the permanent structuring of this party and committee and sets some ground rules that every member of the leadership and this party must follow. This is being developed mainly because many of our members are confused as to what community rules are in place. Let me make it clear that this will NOT be like Trey Cranfield’s original rules doctrine. This new rule book will be done way more professionally and cover way more than that document. With that said, I hope this will clear many things regarding the structure and rules of the party/community.

That wraps things up for this address from the leadership. If you ever have any questions for me, just contact me on Hangouts. My email is mlsorrells60@gmail.com. Everything you need to know is included on the pinned post in the GOP community, so make sure to refer to that if you need to find your district or register your candidacy for an upcoming primary. Thank you for reading this, and I hope you can wish the best for this party just like the leadership does!
